RIMDRIVE NOMINATED FOR DAME AWARD - MAXWELL RC12 - VETUS MAXWELL SOUTH AFRICA - VETUS AND MAREX BOAT WINDOWS

From 15 to 17 November, the annual Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS), the world's largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry, will take place in Amsterdam. Each year, the winners of the prestigious DAME Award are announced on the first day of the METS.

The VETUS Rimdrive has been nominated for the DAME Award 2011.
The Rimdrive is an exciting and innovative development in bow thruster design. In contrast with conventional thrusters, the electric motor does not take up valuable space inside the boat. The propeller forms the rotating part of the electric motor (rotor) and the fixed winding (stator) is mounted in the tunnel. This results in a very compact and self contained thruster.

MAXWELL SUPERYACHT SUPPLIES COMPLETE ANCHORING SYSTEM FOR 49 M SUPERYACHT ‘NASSIMA’ (08 Jun 2011)

Maxwell, the New Zealand producer of superior anchoring solutions, has recently received the order for the supply of anchor windlasses for the motor yacht ‘Nassima’. This luxurious 49 meter yacht has been designed by Olivier van Meer Design and is being built by Acico Yachts in Enkhuizen (The Netherlands).
